Draw it. Run it. Learn it.
An interactive playbook for tackle and flag football. Draw your plays, watch them run, share them with your whole team, and let players move the pieces to see why every assignment matters.
No account needed for the demo. 14-day free trial for your team, no card needed.
See why every assignment matters
Watch the defense react. Change an assignment. Help players understand how their job shapes the play.
Built for flag football, too
Plays and assignments for your format, with flag rules built into the action: no blocking unless your league allows it, marked rushers, and every play ends with a flag pull. Pick your format and explore a play.
Try a flag playMore learning. Better practice.
Give players a way to understand their assignments before they step on the field.
Every player knows their job
Add a responsibility and goal to each position. Players tap their spot to understand what to do and what success looks like.
Let players explore safely
Move a player, change a route, and see what happens. Players can save private variations while the coach’s play stays unchanged.
Make practice time count
Share plays before practice so families can study at home on a phone, tablet or computer. Revisit a broken play afterward and work through the correction together.
Start with a play, not a blank field
Choose starter plays for your game format, with matching defenses and assignments ready to adapt to your team.
Build a football program, not just a collection of teams.
Teach a system players can grow with. Start with the basics in your youngest age group and build each season, so players reach JV already familiar with your program’s plays, assignments and terminology. Kids get years in your program, not a different version of football every season.
One system, built for each age group
Copy core plays into each team’s playbook and adapt them to your players. Younger teams learn the basics; older teams add detail and complexity.
Consistency through coaching changes
Keep your plays and teaching notes when coaches move on. The next coach can build on what players already know.
Coaches working together
Give coordinators a view across every team’s playbook, so they can help coaches teach a consistent system across age groups.

How it works
Set up your team in a few minutes.
Create your team
Sign in with your email (no password, just a link or a 6-digit code), name your team and pick your game format.
Build your playbook
Start from the starter kit, set up blocks, routes and coverages in one tap with Quick, or draw your own, then add a note for each position.
Share one code
Give coaches a coach code and families a viewer code. Everyone signs in and sees the team’s plays.
▶ Watch a play built in 3 minutes: Quick routes, player jobs and defenses.
Running more than one age group? Make your team part of a program, add your other teams, and invite each team’s coach.
How teams work
Each team has its own playbook and Team pass, and both stay with the team when coaches change. Owners manage access and billing. Coaches edit the team’s plays. Players and parents study assignments and save their own variations.

Questions
Getting started
Who is Teach Playbook for?
Youth football coaches, and the players and parents on their teams. Coaches build the playbook. Players and parents can move players, redraw routes and press Play to see what changes, then save their own version without changing the coach’s play. Kids learn their assignments by working through them, not by memorizing a diagram. Accounts are for adults and players 13 and older. For players under 13, a parent signs up and learns with them.
Is it just for offense?
No. Line up a 5–3, 4–4, 6–2, 3–4, Cover 1, Cover 3 or nickel look in one click. Coaching flag? Pick Man, Cover 1, Cover 2 or Cover 3, with your rushers set 7 yards back. Give each defender a gap, contain, zone or man-coverage assignment, mix them (corners in man, safeties deep), and see how your defense fits against any play.
Does it work for flag football, or teams with fewer players?
Yes. When you set up your team, choose your league’s game format: 11v11 down to 6v6 tackle (including Rookie Tackle and no-blitz youngest divisions), or 9v9 down to 5v5 flag. Your plays and defenses follow it. In flag nobody blocks (unless your league allows it), only marked rushers cross the line before the throw, and plays end with a flag pull.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. Teach Playbook runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers. There’s nothing to install.
How do people join my team?
From your team’s access settings, create a coach code or a viewer code and share it, or send the invite link. You can replace codes and remove members at any time.
We’re moving up an age group. Do we start over?
No. If it’s the same team, use New season in Team details: it updates the name and age group and keeps your plays, members and Team pass. Starting a separate team? Copy your playbook into it in one step.
Teams & programs
What’s a program, and how is it different from a league?
A program is one organization’s teams: a youth club with a team at each age group, or a high school and the youth teams that feed it. A league is the teams you play against; this isn’t for sharing with them. A program has its own owners, and every team in it keeps its own playbook, coaches, families and Team pass.
Can my team join a program?
Yes. The program’s owners give your team’s owner a team code; your owner enters it and your team joins, with everything you’ve built. A program owner can also start new teams inside the program and invite a coach for each one.
What can program coaches see and change?
Coaches in a program can open every team’s playbook in it, including plays a team hides from its players, and copy plays into their own team. They can’t change another team’s plays. Players and parents only see their own team.
What happens if a team leaves a program?
It keeps everything: its plays, members and Team pass. The program’s coaches can no longer open its playbook, and copies they made earlier stay where they are.
Billing
Do players and parents need to pay?
No. The Team pass covers everyone on the team.
What happens after the free trial?
A team owner buys a Team pass to keep adding and editing plays. If nobody does, the playbook becomes read-only: everyone can still open and run the plays, nothing is lost, and you can pick up where you left off whenever you get a pass.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Automatic renewal is optional, and you can turn it off anytime; your pass keeps working until the end of the time you’ve paid for. If you’re not happy, email us within 14 days of any charge, including a renewal, for a full refund.
What’s a founding coach?
The founding discount stays with the team and the coach who started it:
- Founding team: a team that buys its first Team pass before March 1, 2027 keeps 35% off for as long as it keeps renewing without a break, even with a new coach or someone else paying.
- Founding coach: the person who paid for a founding team gets 35% off other teams they pay for, like when you move up with your kids or coach a second team, on up to 3 teams at a time (counting the founding team). Running more than that? Ask about a program pass.
Teams that first buy a pass after March 1, 2027 pay the standard $40 a year, even if a founding coach coaches them, unless the founding coach is the one paying. It’s our thanks to the teams that came on early and the coaches who brought them.
How do referral codes work?
Every team has a code that anyone on the team can share with another coach. When a new team pays with it, they get 20% off their first year (or the founding price, if that’s better), and once their 14-day refund window passes, your team gets 20% off its next renewal. Five teams make a free year.
How does pricing work for a program?
Two ways. Each team can buy its own Team pass, or your program can get a program pass: one purchase that covers a set number of teams. You assign them to teams already in the program or to new ones, and those teams work just like any team with a paid pass. For a program pass, email programs@teachplaybook.com.
